The IRA may have started in 68' but it started as modifieds, then supermodifieds in the early to mid 70's, several people obtained old sprint cars and converted them to run with the supermodifieds, by the late 70's early 80's the majority of drivers now had sprint cars with clutches, but the races were still advertised as supermodifieds. So to say IRA is the oldest sprint car club running isn't exactly accurate. World of Outlaws started in 78' and what about USAC sprint cars, the have around longer than anyone.

That 20 second rule is very frustrating. How do you focus on catching someone and passing when you have to keep track of your lap times? I know MIS has their reasons but it's still frustrating
